• Payment information — if you subscribe to the Scholar plan, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number.
• Communications — messages you send us through support channels or feedback forms.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, features used, submission frequency, and interaction patterns.
• Device and browser data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and referring URL.
• Cookies and similar technologies — we use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies to understand how our Service is used. See Section 7 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the Service — process your essay submissions through our AI assessment agents, generate AO1–AO4 feedback reports, and deliver your results.
• Track your progress — store your submission history and scores so you can compare performance across attempts.
• Manage your account — authenticate your identity, manage your subscription, and process token rewards.
• Improve the Service — analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns to improve assessment quality, accuracy, and features.
• Communicate with you — send service notifications, respond to support requests, and (with your consent) send product updates.
• Enforce our terms — detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service and usage limits.

4. Essay Data and AI Processing

This section is especially important to students using our Service:

• Your essays are processed by our multi-agent AI system solely to generate your feedback report.
• We do not use your essays to train or fine-tune our AI models.
• Essay text is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit and at rest) to our AI processing infrastructure.
• Your essays and feedback reports are stored in your account for your progress tracking purposes.
• You may delete individual submissions or your entire account at any time, which permanently removes your essay data from our systems.
• We may use aggregated, anonymised data (e.g. average score distributions by subject) for service improvement. This data cannot be traced back to you or your essays.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers — third-party providers that help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us.
• AI processing — your essay text is sent to our AI infrastructure partners for assessment processing. These partners are bound by data processing agreements and do not retain your data after processing.
• Legal compliance — when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.

6. Data Retention

• Account data — retained while your account is active and for 30 days after deletion to allow recovery.
• Essay submissions and reports — retained in your account until you delete them, or until 30 days after account deletion.
• Usage and analytics data — retained in anonymised form for up to 24 months.
• Payment records — retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
